Bay Area Corvette Club, Dimmitt Chevrolet raise more than $4,500 for Pediatric Cancer Foundation

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Bay Area Corvette Club and Dimmitt Chevrolet are scheduled to present the Pediatric Cancer Foundation with a check for $3,040.80 on January 23 at 11 a.m. at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater.

The money was raised at the 18th Annual Dimmitt Corvette show hosted by the Bay Area Corvette Club, which took place on Oct. 17.

This check goes along with a previous check for $1,500, which was presented to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation during the show.

The check presentation will take place in the new-car showroom.

Dimmitt Chevrolet was established in Clearwater, Florida in 1924 and employs more than 110 people. The car dealership was selected as the best auto dealership for 2015 by Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay. Dimmitt Chevrolet was also named one of Tampa Bay’s top 100 places to work by the Tampa Bay Times in 2015.

Bay Area Corvette Club was established in 1970.  The club is comprised of owners of the Chevrolet Corvette an American Icon and the true American sports car.  We are dedicated in keeping the Corvette tradition alive and committed to helping the Tampa Bay area community in charitable contributions.


Bottle Breacher to be featured on Beyond the Tank

TUCSON, Ariz. – Bottle Breacher is scheduled to be featured on ABC’s Beyond the Tank on January 21, just over a year after first appearing on the hit show Shark Tank.

While the show’s details cannot be discussed quite yet, the product can.

Eli Crane and his wife, Jen, brought Bottle Breacher to life in 2013 out of their one car garage in San Diego while Eli was still in the military on active duty as a Navy SEAL. A year-and-a-half later they found themselves on Shark Tank making a deal with two sharks, Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary.

Safety Harbor SongFest Lineup for 2016 Festival: Love and Theft, Otis Taylor and more

SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. – For the third year, the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center (SHAMc) will be showcasing a stellar lineup of more than 20 nationally acclaimed musical acts, when it hosts the Safety Harbor Song Fest on April 2-3, 2016. Tickets are on sale now for the two-day event, which takes place on the town’s picturesque waterfront park located next to the Safety Harbor marina and pier.

This year’s confirmed lineup includes national recording artists Otis Taylor, Love & Theft, Ben Sollee, Matt the Electrician, Daphne Willis, Chris Gelbuda, Joe Craven, Anne Harris, The Vespers, The Shook Twins, Honey Honey, Dan Rodriguez, David Jacob Strain, Tall Heights, The Brothers Landreth, The Mastersons, and more musicians to be announced that pull from a wide range of influences, including blues, bluegrass, country, jazz, pop, world beat and more.

Famous Florida artists hosting lineup announcement for Safety Harbor SongFest

SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. – Renowned Florida artists, Todd Ramquist and Kiaralinda are scheduled to host a lineup announcement event for the 2016 Safety Harbor SongFest on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sideshow.

Todd and Kiaralinda are best known for their unique home aptly named Whimzeyland. This quirky and colorful house has been featured on MTV Cribs and on HGTV’s Extreme Home series and will soon to be featured on a new Travel Channel show. This is the 3rd year of the festival which benefits the Safety Harbor Art & Music Center.

“We wanted the festival to be an extension of our SHAMc family. This year, our theme of family is realized because most of our acts are related either by birth, marriage, or mentorship,” said Todd Ramquist, festival organizer and founder. “We hope the audience will feel like they are part of our family too,” explained Kiaralinda, festival organizer and founder. Logo

This event is open to the media and interested parties to learn more about the headliners as well as the rest of the unique lineup of musicians, singers, and songwriters playing this year’s festival.

The 60-minute program will include the announcement of the lineup with samples of their music, a brief Q&A session with the organizers, and will be followed by a celebration with the festival team.
