SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. – Weeks after performing for massive crowds at SXSW and their breakout hit “Set on Fire” rising to number four on Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart, Los Angeles music group, Magic Giant, will headline Safety Harbor SongFest on Apr. 2.
Magic Giant, which has been compared to artists like Mumford & Sons and The Lumineers, has experienced a surge in popularity with their infectious sing-along folk sound and communal live experiences. The group has been critically acclaimed for blending traditional folk instruments like banjo, fiddle and harmonica with dance rhythms.
“Magic Giant performances are a joyful experience,” said Kiaralinda, SHAMc co-founder and festival organizer, “the combination of their music, the gorgeous waterfront location and the other amazing acts will make this year’s SongFest one to remember.”
Spectacular music is not all that’s on tap at Safety Harbor SongFest. Attendees will be treated to culinary delights, art demonstrations, as well as other visual wonders to keep them amazed and amused.
The festival’s confirmed musical lineup consists of national recording artists, including Grammy award winner Fantastic Negrito, The Wood Brothers, Rising Appalachia, Magic Giant, Charlie Mars, Kina Grannis, Daphne Willis, Joe Craven, The Mulligan Brothers, Emily Kopp, The Accidentals, Birds of Chicago, Dan Rodriguez, Davin McCoy, Fuzz and Carrie of Caravan of Thieves, Kristin Diable, Victor and Penny, Trevor Green, Chasing Lovely and local musicians Urban Gypsies of Florida, Joshua Reilly, Tim Hutchinson, and Alex Wald.
