Dimmitt Chevrolet gives to Countryside Little League, public can still help to raise more

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Dimmitt Chevrolet donated $500 and much-needed equipment to Countryside Little League this month as part of the annual Chevy Youth Baseball initiative.

To help prepare the league for the start of the season Dimmitt Chevrolet donated thousands of dollars in baseball equipment and over one hundred youth baseball T-shirts. Countryside Little League offers both youth baseball and softball leagues and has a total of nearly 200 players.

Members of the public can continue to help between now and June 30 by test-driving a new car at Dimmitt Chevrolet. For each test-drive, Countryside Little League will receive 25 dollars.

According to Scott Collore, general manager of Dimmitt Chevrolet, this year Dimmitt hopes to raise an additional $1,000 through the test drive initiative.

“We are thrilled to continue to support Countryside Little League and be a part of the Clearwater youth baseball community,” said Lawrence Dimmitt IV, owner of Dimmitt Chevrolet. “Getting your kids involved in youth baseball, attending games, and stopping by our dealership for a 10-minute test drive, are all ways to show your support for Countryside Little League.”

Countryside Little League has 19 teams that includes both boys and girls between the ages of four to 14. This year the league is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their national softball championship.

“Dimmitt Chevrolet has been a tremendous source of support for many years,” said Matt Werner, president of Countryside Little League. “They have been a great partner and we couldn’t be more thankful for their continued involvement with our league.”
