TUCSON, Ariz. – Bottle Breacher, a veteran-owned and operated manufacturer of beverage openers made from ammunition rounds, is now selling a t-shirt featuring Jesus Christ.

The shirt, which some have called controversial, depicts Jesus Christ wearing a snorkel and mask while holding a pair of fins and says, “Jesus Is My Swim Buddy.”

“We don’t believe this is controversial, but rather an expression of our faith and freedom,” said Eli Crane, a former Navy SEAL and founder of Bottle Breacher. “In SEAL training we were never allowed to be more than 6 feet away from our swim buddy. We were taught how insignificant we would be on the battlefield by ourselves. We were also taught that without backup and support, we could quickly get into trouble. I’ve found the same thing is true in my personal life and my relationship with the Almighty, which is why we decided to start offering the ‘Jesus Is My Swim Buddy’ t-shirt to show others who really has your back.”

The t-shirt is the latest addition to a line of already controversial products offered by the patriotic company. Bottle Breacher, a company that got their start by manufacturing .50-caliber bottle openers, now features a full line of bottle openers in different calibers, as well as Breacher Gear.

Bottle Breacher also sells other t-shirts, which say, “Happiness is Breaching a Cold One,” and “WWFFD – What Would Founding Father’s Do.” On the back of the WWFFD shirt is a quote, which reads, “The Democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

The “Jesus Is My Swim Buddy” t-shirt retails for $19.99 and is available online at bottlebreacher.com. In addition to growing their business, Bottle Breacher has continued to give back to others by supporting law enforcement and veteran initiatives.

In February, Bottle Breacher helped to raise $2,500 for the Los Angeles Police Department Bomb Squad Police Unity Tour.
