Director of Web Development & Creative Design
Josh began his graphic design career in middle school, designing desktop backgrounds for his parents’ computer. He secured student copies of professional design software, like Photoshop, through his school and would spend hours playing with the programs like they were video games, all the while learning through trial and error. Since that early age, he has never wavered in his desire to create digital art.
Josh got his first (paid) design job at duPont Publishing. As a part of the production team, he created print ads for their luxury auto, home, and boat magazines. Josh’s commitment to his craft was immediately evident to his co-workers. The creativity and quality of his work quickly made him a favorite of the sales staff. Before long, he was the go-to designer for new accounts in need from-scratch designs. To this day, that attention to detail and desire to exceed expectations shows in in every project.
Josh started his first company in his early 20’s with a couple friends that brought complementary skills to the team. One of these friends was a web developer. Josh was immediately fascinated with the freedom that designing for web had to offer. To this point in his career, his work was limited by the static confines of print design. His print background gave him a different perspective when considering the limitless possibilities afforded by the web. Likewise, the exposure to web design that followed, allowed him to rethink his style of print design. This hybrid approach and his inherent need to make each project better than the last has helped him develop into a versatile designer with the creativity to contribute in the early stages of strategy and brand development.
Josh graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Advertising from Florida State University. The only two things in this world that matter more to him than his work are his children. Josh is passionate about creating artwork that is not only beautiful, but also effective. He considers himself one of the blessed few with the pleasure of doing what they love for a living.
