Triple your donation as Chevrolet, Cadillac dealerships compete for charity

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Dimmitt Chevrolet and Dimmitt Cadillac are scheduled to compete at raising funds for the Salvation Army at two different Publix locations in Clearwater this Wednesday and Thursday.

The dealerships will ring the bell for the Salvation Army, in part of a friendly competition to help those in need this holiday season.

In addition to the volunteering effort, the Dimmitt family will match all donations collected on these days, while an anonymous donor has pledged to match the donations received and the Dimmitt family’s contributions. This double match will result in a sizeable monetary contribution to the Salvation Army.

“We are excited to partner with the Salvation Army and are looking forward to raising as much money as possible for those in need this holiday season,” said Lawrence Dimmitt IV, owner of Dimmitt Chevrolet. “We are asking the community to come out on and help us support this great cause.”

Team members from Dimmitt Chevrolet will be collecting at the Publix at Gulf to Bay Plaza at 525 Belcher Road in Clearwater on Dec. 23 from 3 p.m until 8 p.m and again on Dec. 24 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

While, team members from Dimmitt Cadillac will be collecting at the Publix at Northwood Plaza at 2514 North McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater on Dec. 23 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Dimmitt Chevrolet was established in Clearwater, Florida in 1924 and employs more than 110 people. The car dealership was selected as the best auto dealership for 2015 by Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay. Dimmitt Chevrolet was also named one of Tampa Bay’s top 100 places to work by the Tampa Bay Times in 2015.
