Founder & President
Founder and President of Judge Public Relations, James Judge, is an award winning public relations expert, former journalist and decorated war veteran.
As a journalist, James honed his skills working on-air at Clear Channel Radio in Tampa, Fla., and for television news at the ABC affiliate, WCJB, in Gainesville, Fla.
In addition to a journalism background, James served in the United States Coast Guard from 2003 to 2007 and was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004 to 2005.
Following his assignment to Iraq, James was selected to serve as a public affairs specialist for the Coast Guard in Miami, handling major stories that received national attention including the four murders aboard the vessel Joe Cool, Super Bowl XLI, the crash of Chalks Airlines Flight 101, the fire aboard the cruise ship Star Princess, and two suspected terrorism incidents at the Port of Miami.
He also worked on President George W. Bush’s media advance team during the president’s 2006 visit to the Port of Miami.
After receiving an honorable discharge from the Coast Guard, James worked for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as a public affairs specialist, responsible for most of the state of Florida.
In 2010, James was asked by the Office of the Secretary of Defense to deploy to Afghanistan. He was responsible for running the press desk and handling media relations and marketing for NATO at the International Security Assistance Force Joint Command under General David Petraeus and General David Rodriguez.
From 2010 to 2011, he oversaw a majority of the media interaction regarding operations for the war in Afghanistan.
In addition to his experience of working with the government, James has consulted on and managed public and media relations efforts for athletes, attorneys, authors, celebrities, doctors, insurance agencies, musicians, non-profit organizations and a national veterinary organization.
James is a graduate of Eckerd College with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies with a focus on Media and Communications.
Thanos Genos, MBA
Thanos Genos is a journalism, marketing and public relations expert. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 2003-2011 as a marketing and public affairs specialist. During that time, he was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a combat correspondent for the Marine Corps.
Following his service in Iraq, Thanos relocated to the Washington D.C. metro area where he managed marketing and public affairs outreach efforts for a Marine Corps recruiting sector responsible for Maryland and Virginia. He oversaw local, regional and national campaigns to garner publicity, visibility and maximize lead generation for Marine Corps recruitment.
One of his more notable accomplishments was the development of a multi-year marketing deal with the Washington Redskins, which included flyovers, on field demonstrations and VIP sponsors of the entire training camp. As part of the partnership, Marine Corps recruiting worked with Washington Redskins staff and players to promote fitness and healthy living by formulating a combined combat fitness test competition between young Marines, enlistees and NFL players.
After receiving an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Thanos worked for Ford Motor Company as an internet sales and social media marketing representative.
Throughout more than 10 years of experience, Thanos has worked with several high profile personnel, including network news anchors, celebrities and athletes.
Thanos is a graduate of Ashford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Public Relations; Strayer University with a Master’s of Business Administration with a focus in Marketing; and Georgetown University with a Certificate in Digital Marketing.
Public Relations & Digital Media Manager
Justin Mayfield has over five years of experience in marketing, public relations and small business management. During this time he has coordinated successful, national-scale public relations campaigns, carried out crisis management strategies, and improved client website structure. He is an expert in brand management, creative marketing strategy, and SEO.
He previously managed the largest family-owned outdoor apparel and equipment dealer in Eastern North Carolina. As manager, Justin directed a staff of over 20, organized special events, implemented targeted advertising campaigns, and expanded digital media outreach.
From 2013-2015 Justin apprenticed under Master PGA Professional Gordon Fulp and is still active in the golf industry.
Justin is a graduate of East Carolina University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Business Administration.
