Dimmitt Chevrolet named one of Tampa Bay’s best places to work

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater was recently named one of Tampa Bay’s top 100 places to work according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The 91-year-old dealership came in fifth place for small businesses according to a survey conducted with 30,000 Tampa Bay area employees that was administered by the Times.

The dealership employs 120 people with 10 percent of their team having served in the military.

“We’re proud to say were among the best employers in the Bay Area,” said Scott Collore, general manager of Dimmitt Chevrolet. “As a business, we have committed to making sure our employees are taken care of so they can make sure our customers are completely satisfied with the products and services they receive.”

Dimmitt Chevrolet is currently hiring and they are scheduled to host a career fair for veterans this Friday.

The career fair is targeted towards veterans and military members who are transitioning out of military service and into civilian life.

In addition to Dimmitt Chevrolet, Action Fabrication and Truck Equipment, American Power & Gas, Avon, BayCare Health System, Bank of America, BluePearl Veterinary Partners, Chick-fil-A, Chix-N-Wings, City of Clearwater, Clearwater Fire & Rescue, ConServ Building Service, Critical Intervention Services (CIS), Eckerd College, e-TeleQuote Insurance, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Highway Patrol, FrankCrum Staffing, ITT Technical Institute, Jungle Cat Marketing, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Outback Steakhouse, PPI: Providential Provision Inc., PSI, Sears, St. Petersburg Police Department, The Parts House, Troops to Teachers, Wendy’s Corporation, WRH Realty Services and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) are planning to participate.
